Enjoy the Moment....how do you enjoy the moment? I live a really fast paced life so I have to actively make sure I am enjoying every moment! It's difficult sometimes to just stop and take a breath. There are so many things that I want to do, and I try to fit everything in, but sometimes I forget to actually enjoy what I am doing. This project was the first project I created after my mini self-care vacay. I took the entire month of June of from everything. All I did was travel! It was a breath of fresh air! I enjoyed every minute of it! I am now in full swing with crafting and it is nice to be back. I have decided to change things up!

I want to work smarter not harder and I want to be able to share beautiful projects with you. Each week I am going to pick 1 style of card and I am going to then design 6 more projects to share throughout the week. This is very similar to what I did last week with the Christmas cards. This week I decided to CASE a project I absolutely loved from page 26 of the Annual Catalog 2021-2022. I always love so many projects from the catalog and I never make them. I'm going to change that this year. I am going to recreate many of the projects from the catalog and then use that inspiration to design my own. I have some really beautiful projects to share with you this week, and I hope you enjoy them!

This card used a really cool technique, I have never used before. You take a piece of grid paper, rip it in half, and use that as a template to blend on. You stamp your image and blend using different colors. For this project, I used Night of Navy for the stamps, Just Jade and Soft Suede for the blending. This was a time consuming technique but it was absolutely worth it! As you will see this week, I have been able to extend this technique to 6 very different cards.

I do find that when I make duplicates of a card, it is easiest to duplicate them during the designing of the initial card. I do this because I can then see how much paper I am left with to be able to use on the envelope and insert. If I design just 1 card and don't consider my duplicates, I may not have enough supplies. And when I don't finish cards in the moment, I tend to leave them in a drawer, unfinished, for months (or years).

If you are interested in recreating this card, I've included a video tutorial and a recipe card. The recipe card includes the materials needed as well as the dimensions of the pieces. Materials can also be found below with a direct link to your shopping cart on Stampin' Up! If you do recreate this card, don't forget to tag me on Instagram @dinodanielledesigns. I would love to see your creations! Happy crafting!
