March 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit: Here's To You

3/27/2021

Change is progress. I have been thinking quite a bit about my business lately and decided to change things up. I am constantly looking to improve myself and my efficiency in everything I do. This week was Spring Break and as always I spent most of it cleaning. I like to go through everything and donate items I am not using. As I was cleaning, I noticed I had a huge stack of unopened Paper Pumpkin boxes. I was trying to figure out the best way to complete them in the future in a timely manner. This is exactly why my live yesterday included the March 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit. Every month I will complete the Paper Pumpkin Kit during our time together. If you are a subscriber, this is a great time for you to work on your kit as well. We can craft together even though we are apart. If you are not a subscriber, and you would like to subscribe, click here. I hope you enjoyed this month's kit, I know I absolutely loved it! Landscapes are my favorite cards to create!

Along with all the pieces to create the 8 cards (2 designs), there were also extra pieces. I decided along with my efficiency, I need to use up every possible piece of these kits. I created 3 alternative projects, 4 of each design (pictured below) for a total of 20 completed projects! Yes, 20! And it only took me a few hours last night to complete them all! That's another reason to love the Paper Pumpkin Kits! You receive all the items needed for the set projects and it's easier to create additional projects with the remaining pieces because they also provide additional project ideas! What a fun and stress free crafting session!

I have to say, I am absolutely proud of the card I designed for this hop. I have been in a crafty funk lately and haven't been happy with the things I've created, but this card changed that! As soon as I started brainstorming ideas for this hop, I knew I had to create an ocean themed card! I live in NM and have only seen the ocean 3 times in my entire life! Yes, I agree, I need a beachside vacation! If you have any recommendations, let me know!

Besides loving the ocean and the beauty underneath, I also have been really passionate about trying to reduce my single-use plastics. This has been quite a challenge for me because I am so productive oriented. I usually steer towards convenience which usually includes a single-use plastic container. I'm getting there, one piece at a time. One of the single-use items I have replaced recently (and it's not plastic) are the cotton pads I use to clean my face. I found cotton re-useable pads online and they are amazing! They came with a mesh bag to wash them in. I even love them more than the disposable ones! More on that journey later!

Click the graphic on the right to download the free recipe card for this project. If you would like any other recipe cards, click the recipe link in the toolbar, you will find the cards for every project I create. I place mine in clear sleeves in a binder. My plan is to get them bound at the end of the year. I am also working on designing a cover page and a table of contents that I will post at the end of the year. I think this will be a great way to keep track of all the projects I design over the years. It'll be great to be able to look back on how much I've grown as a designer!
I had another goal in mind when I was designing this card. I am interested in applying to be on the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team, so I wanted to practice creating beautifully artistic cards! I'm glad this wasn't a sinker! I am so proud of the way it turned out and I definitely will be keeping this card forever! It will be somewhere in my future craft room where I am able to see it all the time to gain additional inspiration! Let's be honest, I have a hard time not keeping at least one copy of all the cards I design, which really needs to stop. My house is going to be filled with cards that need to be enjoyed! Some day that will change, but not with this card!

Handsomely Suited: St. Patrick's Day Treat Box

3/4/2021

The "Handsomely Suited Bundle," is definitely one of my all-time favorite bundles from Stampin' Up! There are so many different suits you can create with this set! It will be part of my collection forever! I love how easy it is to work with and how quickly projects come together!

This week I wanted to create a St. Patrick's Day themed trio that could be sent to those that celebrate St. Patrick's Day or projects that could be changed a bit to be sent to anyone, even if they don't celebrate St. Patrick's Day. I want the projects I create to be versatile, that way you learn a strategy that can be used throughout the entire year!

I could create a year's worth of FB Live's with just this set! Hmmm... ?did I just give myself a challenge? Well... challenge accepted! If you are interested in purchasing this set, you can click the link below and it will automatically add it to your cart! Don't forget to use the host code mentioned below if you would like to receive the Make & Takes for free. More details below.

If you saw this post on IG, it probably gave you a giggle. I was looking high and low for this die! I really thought I lost it and I was debating on ordering a whole new set just for this die! It is so cute and absolutely necessary for the suit cards. I just about gave up, when a thought popped in my head! "Check your Stamparatus!" And bam! There it was attached to the magnet! I thought it was soo funny and had to make a #tiptuesday out of it! Have you ever lost a die and had to tear apart your craft space to try and find it? This is definitely not the first time it has happened to me and it doesn't always have a happy ending.
