This month's theme is so meaningful for me as a teacher. I absolutely love when I receive a special card from a student and/or family. I have received the sweetest notes from previous students over the years. I took inspiration from letter boards that are still used as decor in classrooms. I used a piece of Basic Black Cardstock and scored it every 1/8" to create the letter board effect.

A Little Extra Happiness

Picture
This card was a total accident. I placed all my retiring products on a long table and the vellum, DSP, and gold leaves were next to each other. I loved how the vellum layered on the black and white pieces and had to try and design with them. I didn't like it as much on the line pattern pages, but the flower one (shown here) looked amazing! I loved the colors together but wanted a little more pop, so I decided to add a layer of gold behind the DSP.

Materials Needed:

Picture

-21-23 In Color Jewels
-Pansy Patch Stamp Set
-Versamark Ink Pad
-White Embossing Powder
-Tasteful Labels Dies
-Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack
-Basic Black Card Base (8-1/2"x11")
-Gold Foil Layer (4-1/8"x5-3/8")
-Pattern Paper DSP Layer (4"x5-1/4")
-21-23 In Color Vellum (3-1/2"x4-3/4")
-Basic White Insert (4"x5-1/4")
-Insert Decor (3/4"x5-1/4")

-Envelope Flap Decor (5-3/4"x2-1/4")
-2 fussy cut flowers
-2 gold cutouts
-Basic Black Label w/heat embossed sentiment
-Envelope stamped

Looking for an old fashioned birthday card? Look no further, the Neutral 6"x6" DSP was the perfect match to the Whiskey Business Stamp Set by Stampin' Up! Originally I used a plain Basic White Label, but decided I wanted to make it look worn down like it had aged. I used a blending brush and Soft Suede to make it match the theme of the card. I love how it turned out.

-Whiskey Business Stamp Set
-Tasteful Labels Dies
-Soft Suede Stampin' Pad
-Tuxedo Black Memento Ink

-Neutrals Collection DSP Envelope Flap (6"x2-1/4")
-Neutrals Collection Card Front (1-7/8" x 5-1/2")
-Tasteful Label (Stamped and Blended edges with Soft Suede)
-Whiskey Bottle stamped, colored, cut
-Envelope Stamped

Step 2: Attach DSP to card front

Isn't this duck just so cute! The Easter Friends Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! is absolutely adorable. This duck was really easy to color and fussy cut. It makes a perfect pop next to the sentiment from the same set. I used the Subtles 6"x6" DSP as the background to resemble different colors on an egg. I hope this card gives you fun spring vibes.

-So Saffron Cardbase (8-1/2"x5-1/2")
-Basic White Card Front & Card Insert (4"x5-1/4")

-Label with sentiment
-Duck stamped, colored, and cut
-DSP 96"x2-1/4")

Bright Birthday Bow

I couldn't resist using the Handsomely Suited Stamp Set and Suit & Tie Does again before they retire. I also still have just a bit of color family DSP left and thought I should try and use up as much of it as I could before I get new products. Originally I was going to place the bow tie on the bottom of the label, but it just looked so much like a hair bow, I had to change it up. I also received really good feedback about the slideshow, so I had to include another! :) Enjoy!

Project Materials:

Picture
-Handsomely Suited Stamp Set
-Suit & Tie Dies
-Tasteful Labels Dies
-Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
-Champagne Rhinestones Basic Jewels
-Card Base using Brights Cardstock (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/2")
-2 Very Vanilla layers, 1 stamped in corner (4"x 5-1/4")
-Brights DSP Layer with bow stamped and die cut out of center (3-3/4" x 5-1/4")
-Very Vanilla Label cut and stamped
-Brights DSP Insert Decor (remaining piece from DSP)
-Envelope Flap, cut off from DSP first (2-1/4" x 6")
-Stamp envelope in bottom left corner

Step 1: Stamp envelope, attach flap decor, trim
