I have to be honest, I procrastinated hard on this project. I procrastinated so much, I forgot to order a Halloween Set! I had to stretch my creativity in order to figure out how I was going to still participate in the hop this month. I thought about all things Halloweenie and looked at the sets I do have and decided on a spooky house! The phrase "Welcome Back," kept creeping into my head and that's when I was 100% certain I could create a spooky house. I luckily had just ordered the "Warm Welcome," Stamp Set by Stampin' Up! for a different project I'm working on, which was perfect.
Picture
The first thing I noticed on the set was the sleeve on the person holding the flowers. Who else could this be, besides Freddy Krueger? It was so perfect! And of course he is holding blood red flowers to welcome you home!
Picture
In sticking with this theme, of course I also had to reach out to my sister to tell me the house address for "Nightmare on Elm Street." I thought it was even spookier if it looked like one of the numbers was falling off the house. Can you hear it moving in the wind? The Metallic Mesh Ribbon was a perfect material to resemble spider webs.

This month I decided to step-out of my comfort zone and create a project using the flowers from the Hues of Happiness DSP . I don't usually create with many flowers, but I completely fell in-love with this paper. I loved all the colors on each page. I knew I wanted to create a rainbow card using the flowers. I tried creating a standard card size, but it was too small. Thankfully I had slimline cards, which were the perfect size. I really wanted each flower to pop, so I popped each one up with dimensionals.

Steps to Create:

Picture
Step 1: Use a blending brush to add ink to your card front.
Picture
Step 2: Add water drops, let sit, and then dab with a paper towel to pull up ink.

Picture
Step 3: Die cut the flowers and arrange on the card front.
Picture
Step 4: Once you found an arrangement that works, carefully adhere each with dimensionals. It's best to do one at a time and use different size dimensionals.

Picture
Step 5: Trim the edges of each flower that goes over the edge. Admire your work. :)
Picture
Step 6: Use a blending brush to add color around the edges of your label.

Picture
Step 7: Stamp your sentiment, adhere your label, and add a bow using linen thread.
Picture
Step 8: Stamp the sentiment and flower on the corner of the slimline envelope.

This month's theme is so meaningful for me as a teacher. I absolutely love when I receive a special card from a student and/or family. A Little Extra Happiness

This card was a total accident. I placed all my retiring products on a long table and the vellum, DSP, and gold leaves were next to each other. I loved how the vellum layered on the black and white pieces and had to try and design with them. I didn't like it as much on the line pattern pages, but the flower one (shown here) looked amazing! I loved the colors together but wanted a little more pop, so I decided to add a layer of gold behind the DSP.

Materials Needed:

Picture

-21-23 In Color Jewels
-Pansy Patch Stamp Set
-Versamark Ink Pad
-White Embossing Powder
-Tasteful Labels Dies

Looking for an old fashioned birthday card? Look no further, the Neutral 6"x6" DSP was the perfect match to the Whiskey Business Stamp Set by Stampin' Up! Originally I used a plain Basic White Label, but decided I wanted to make it look worn down like it had aged. I used a blending brush and Soft Suede to make it match the theme of the card. I love how it turned out.

Project Materials:

-Whiskey Business Stamp Set
-Tasteful Labels Dies
-Soft Suede Stampin' Pad
-Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
-Coloring Tools (Blends, Stampin' Write Markers, Colored Pencils)

-Crumb Cake Insert (4"x5-1/4")
-Neutrals Collection DSP Envelope Flap (6"x2-1/4")
-Neutrals Collection Card Front (1-7/8" x 5-1/2")
-Tasteful Label (Stamped and Blended edges with Soft Suede)
-Whiskey Bottle stamped, colored, cut
-Envelope Stamped
