Coloring with Stampin' Blends: Back On Your Feet Timelapse

I have always loved coloring, but Stampin' Blends bring coloring to a whole new level! Watch this timelapse video of me coloring in these cute animals from the Back On Your Feet stamp set! They are adorable in black and white, and they are even more adorable with color! Read more to find out what colors I used for each animal.

I started coloring the cute upside down turtle. Did this stamp remind anyone else of the awkward turtle motion with your hands? I started coloring this cute turtle with the Granny Apple Green Blends on his/her head, arms, and feet. I used the dark blend on the edges, anywhere where you see the black sketch lines. I then blended inwards leaving it lightest in the center of each body part. Next, I colored the shell. I used Old Olive for the rectangular shapes, again beginning with the dark over the sketch lines and working away from those lines with the lighter color. Dark Shaded Spruce was used for the outline of the rectangular shapes on the shell. I did not use Light Shaded Spruce. Next, I colored the top of the shell with Soft Suede. I used the same order, dark on the sketch lines and light moving away from those lines. Lastly, I used Light Crumb Cake to color the shadow below the turtle.

I colored the cute sloths next. I started with the Dark Shaded Spruce on the sketch lines in the leaves, then finished the leaves off with Light Shaded Spruce. Next, I used the Dark Cinnamon Cider to color in the body of the sloth, following the sketch lines, including fur lines. You may have seen in the video, I accidentally colored in the wrap with Dark Cinnamon Cider, so I used the Color Lifter to remove my mistake. I then used the Light Cinnamon Cider to fill in the rest of the body. I used Dark Crumb Cake on the edges of the sloth's face, and added Light Crumb Cake as I worked in. The last color on the sloth's face was Soft Suede. I used Bronze on the tree branch. I used Dark Petal Pink on the sketch lines of the wrap on the sloth's arm, and worked my way in with Light Petal Pink. Lastly, I added a tiny bit of Ivory on each nail.

The giraffe was the easiest to color and had the least amount of Stampin' Blends used. I started with Dark So Saffron and carefully colored in the sketch lines around the giraffe. I then used Light So Saffron over the entire giraffe, I did not worry about getting the color on the spots because you won't be able to tell after you color them in. I then used Dark Cajun Craze (my favorite) to add some dark spots in the center of each spot. I had to look at pictures of giraffes to see how they were shaded. I then used Light Cajun Craze to color over the entire spot. I used Dark Basic Black to color in each hoof. At the very end, I used Light Crumb Cake to color in the shadow. I decided on a lighter color for the giraffe's shadow since they are higher from the ground than the turtle, and would cast a lighter shadow.
