On Thursday, my best friend graduated with her Masters in Psychology! I made a special card for her to celebrate this momentous occasion! I chose to use Gorgeous Grape to match Grand Canyon University's school color. I used the diploma stamp on the background and decided to also stamp some diplomas on Basic White and fussy cut them out. They added flair and dimension! The adhesive backed stars were the perfect addition to call more attention to the newspaper. If you would like to purchase supplies to recreate this card, click here.

I am so proud of Elena! She has worked so hard, made so many sacrifices, and climbed every obstacle to get to this point! Yay! Now, it's time to celebrate!

Here is my sketch that I created before I started working with my supplies. Originally I had thought I would add some vellum in between the card front layer and the newspaper cut but it took away too much of the image.

I decided to leave the inside blank, but still wanted to even out the heaviness of the card so I still opted to include an insert. To coordinate the envelope, I stamped a piece of Gorgeous Grape with diplomas and attached it to the flap of the envelope. I then stamped the bottom left corner full strength with the same sentiment as the card and stamped off diplomas a couple times to make sure you could read the sentiment.
