It's Tea Time

I have some tea to spill, I bought this set a long time ago. I'm pretty sure I ordered it during the preorder and I had not used it! I get so excited and order all these sets and they become decor. Anyone else guilty of doing the same thing? I'm working on using every single item I purchase. I am getting better at it, but still not quite at my goal. It's going to start getting a lot harder to do too because I'm going to try really hard to earn the Mexico Incentive trip! Eep! We all start somewhere, right? If you would like to purchase any items to create this card, click here.

I started this card with a sketch. As I said in other posts, sketching has helped me make a little less mess and waste less materials. I have a guide and I don't have to get as many materials down from shelves.

I decided to stamp straight onto DSP instead of a plain piece of card stock. I tried the card stock and it just was too plain. I thought this yellow DSP sheet looked like a tablecloth, so it worked well as the tea background.

I needed a tea bag from the DSP but didn't want to use part of the whole sheet. I decided to just die cut one right out of the card front and just cover it up. If you check the next picture, you can't even tell it is missing.

I originally wanted to use just one tea cup but knew it would look way too empty so I decided to stack the cups.

I then added lemon slices as embellishments around the cups because you of course need lemon in your tea!

Lastly, I decided to create a gift card pocket on the inside of the card. Now you can use this to gift a Starbucks gift card or another vendor that also sells tea!
