When I first started out with this card, I had a fall/autumn card in mind, but it ended up being more of a Christmas card. I definitely think it could be a fall card, but I did not have the right sentiments/decor to fully embrace the fall vibes! I want to try this card with blue next to mimic snow in the background. This card was all about change! I originally planned to have the card base be very vanilla with the very vanilla card front, but it blended in too much and didn't look right. I quickly changed the card base to match the ribbon. If you would like to purchase products used in this project, click here.

I started this card with a sketch. As I said in other posts, sketching has helped me make a little less mess and waste less materials. I have a guide and I don't have to get as many materials down from shelves. | I decided to stamp straight onto DSP instead of a plain piece of card stock. I tried the card stock and it just was too plain. I thought this yellow DSP sheet looked like a tablecloth, so it worked well as the tea background. | I needed a tea bag from the DSP but didn't want to use part of the whole sheet. I decided to just die cut one right out of the card front and just cover it up. If you check the next picture, you can't even tell it is missing. |
I originally wanted to use just one tea cup but knew it would look way too empty so I decided to stack the cups. | I then added lemon slices as embellishments around the cups because you of course need lemon in your tea! | Lastly, I decided to create a gift card pocket on the inside of the card. Now you can use this to gift a Starbucks gift card or another vendor that also sells tea! |

I started out with creating the duplicate error message card by cutting out 3 rectangles and attaching them in a pop-up diagonal. | Next I stamped candles on the card front using a basic white sheet. Originally I thought about using a different shade of blue, but it looked too busy. | I then added an embossed piece using the 0 and 1 stamp. I chose Pacific Point to resemble the blue screen you see with all the code written across it. |
I then attached the duplicate error message using dimensionals to really make it "pop-up!" | The inside needed some form of decoration to tie it all together, so I decided on candles to mimic the card front. | The envelope also needed to match. I opted to stamp the candles on the flap and include the same cake and error on the bottom left corner as the card. |

I used the Basic Border Dies, but they were a bit too long. I marked where I wanted to cut, I cut to the mark, and then placed the die underneath the left side, so that it would only cut the right. | I layered a lighter color cardstock on the inside (Mango Melody) to create a little more variety. I attached a DSP layer to the front using the same die I used for the flap. | I thought it looked too plain so I decided to stamp leaves on the Mango Melody piece. I decided to use only 1 color because I still wanted the DSP to be more eye catching than the background. |
I cut a Pumpkin Pie label in half and layered it behind the Mango Melody piece. This creates a faux shadow effect. | If you don't want the staples to be as prominent, you could cover them or color the tops to blend in with your project. | I added a ribbon around the entire pocket and a sentiment stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink with a leaf in the background. |

My first mistake using this die happened on this project. I cut it out just as you see here and then went to fold it and it ended up being upside down. 🤦🏻♀️ Make sure if you are using a DSP with images, you cut it upside down. | When die cutting holes to allow opening and closing of the box, use a pen or pencil to draw in circles. This will allow you to align the die perfectly every time! | I originally only stamped the To and From on this tag but thought it looked too plain! I decided to add on bats in the background by stamping off first. I'm glad I did, it looks so much better this way! |
