Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2022 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you again this year. We hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.

Have I told you I like to adventure? I think I might have mentioned it once or twice or maybe all the time. I was on spring break this week and I did not go on any adventures, so I had decided to adventure through crafting. I can't believe this bundle is retiring soon! It is so unique and versatile. I had to create with it before it is officially retired. I was inspired by the Stampin' Up! mug you'll see in my last picture for the colors.

I had to use the Beauty of the Earth Suite this week. I have had it almost a year now and I have only made 1 project with it. I can't let it just sit on the shelf, in needs to be highlighted. I had not used the blue sky paper from this pack and I was determined to design a card using it. I love how easily this card came together. The Suite Collection made it beautiful! I love how every product coordinates so well.

I just ordered the Stampin' Up! "What's Cookin' Bundle," and I absolutely LOVE it! The little kitchen tools are sooo cute! Here is my first design using the set. One of my favorite techniques is to use a shape over and over again in the background, which is what I did here with the cutting board.

Steps to create this card:

Picture
Step 1: Place die cuts on DSP to figure out placement before you glue
Picture
Step 2: Use liquid glue to adhere dies

Picture
Step 3: Trim the excess
Picture
Step 4: Stamp sentiment on label and envelope

Picture
Step 5: Add DSP to envelope flap
Picture
Step 6: Attach Early Espresso to handle of whisk

Picture
Step 7: Attach label, whisk, and bow to card front
Picture
Step 8: Attach card front to card base

Picture
Step 9: Attach Basic White insert with DSP Decor
Picture
Step 10: Finish the card with embellishments

No Stamping Required

This week has been very busy at work so it has been tough to find the time to craft. I decided yesterday to play with the Heart & Home Memories & More Cards, Envelopes, and Card Pack. I always buy the Memories & More Cards every time they have new ones, but I never use them! 😬 I'm not quite sure why I don't use them more often. It took me about an hour to use up all of the cards and card pack to create beautiful designs!
Picture
I started out by spreading out all of the cards so that I could see them at the same time. This made it easier for me to create with. I used the bumblebee trinkets to match the envelopes. There were only a few cards I had leftover because I ran out of card bases. The best part of this whole experience was not having to really design a new card. These coordinate so well with each other, the cards almost design themselves!

Simple Stamping

3/5/2022

I saw many demos use the Sale-a-bration DSP to quickly make cards with very little prep and the cards still looked gorgeous! I decided to use other DSPs in the same manner. I went through my stack and picked 4 different papers to use this simple stamping method on.
Picture
Here is the type of DSP you need in order for this simple stamping project. Pick a DSP that has the patterns on the outside and a lighter color on the inside. You will then cut it down the middle and make this 1 sheet into 6 card fronts. I also used a DSP that had a bit of pattern in the center (Expressions In Ink), and I just stamped the middle instead of the corner. I really liked how all of the cards turned out and it didn't take much time at all. These are perfect for projects that need duplicates.

Project Supplies:

Picture
-Card base (8-1/2"x5-1/2")
-Insert (5-1/4"x4")
-DSP Front (5-1/4"x4")
-Envelope
-Envelope Flap (5-3/4"x2-1/4")
-Card Decor (4"x3/4")
Picture
I laid out the DSP card fronts and picked out sentiments that fit the space as well as the theme of the DSP. I also wanted a variety of sentiments so that these cards can be used for different occassions.

Picture
Step 1: Stamp card front and envelope
Picture
Step 2: Attach insert and insert decor

Picture
Step 3: Attach card front and add embellishments
Picture
Step 4: Attach DSP to card flap and trim

Luv 2 Stamp Group's Blog Hop: Celebrating Women

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2022 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you again this year. We hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.

Once you are done with each post, scroll down to the bottom and you will see a list of Blog Hop participants, you can click on their name to go to their post, or you can click the next button to go to the next post in line. Happy crafting! This month’s theme is Celebrating Women.
Picture
When creating cards for women, I like to think about my interests because I never can find cards that I am really drawn to or really encompass who I am. I know I'm not alone, so I wanted to create a card for all those women that love adventure in the outdoors! I was inspired by the Horizons DSP, it is absolutely breathtaking!
Picture
I took the paper and started layering stamps to see how I could create a beautiful landscape while also using one of the women from the In The Moment Stamp Set. I played with different versions and did not use what I had thought I was going to on my final card.
Picture
I love paper piecing because it makes these images look more realistic and fun! I used two different DSPs for the clothes. I picked designs based on clothes I would wear. Tie-die is huge right now, so I picked a tie-die pattern for the shirt. I paired it with a blue denim color with white stars for pants.

Picture
Picture
I used the masking technique to add a sun behind the trees. I used both Bumblebee and Pumpkin Pie Ink to add variety and make the sun a bit darker since this card is supposed to be during sunset.
Picture
I included a picture of me on one of my adventures. This was taken last fall in Pagosa Springs. This is the most beautiful spots I have been to so far.

Wedding Thank You Cards

Along with the Wedding Favors, I also was able to create matching Thank You cards for friends' wedding. These were so fun to create and I was able to use my favorite layout! I absolutely love designing cards for specific people and/or occasions. It makes it easier to design because I can pull-in specific colors, patterns, and stamps.

When I do bulk orders/projects, I always prep all my materials first and then put them together. I have found if I complete the same task, I am much quicker. I cut all my pieces out, stamped everything that needed stamping, and adhered everything together.
Picture
Picture
I love to make everything useful, so I decided to add a matching bellyband around the acetate boxes. I told my friends they could gift the acetate boxes filled with treats after they used all the cards. They loved this idea!
Picture
I had already created two projects for this wedding, so I knew I had to go with the same idea for their wedding card from me. It came out absolutely beautiful! I used two plants on the front to represent the two of them growing together.

I am so happy for them and the future they will have. They are amazing people and I am so happy to have met them! To many years of happiness!
