Sweater Weather Card

11/19/2022

Who loves sweater weather? I do! Fall is my favorite fashion season. I love sweaters, and I love boots, and I love beanies, and I love scarves! I just love the crisp air of autumn! This stamp set was absolutely adorable! I was so excited to purchase it and begin crafting with it. I decided to go with fall colors and the black and white leaf print DSP from the Rustic Harvest DSP pack. If you would like to purchase supplies to make this card, click here.

I started designing this card by coloring the sweaters with different fall colors. It's funny because I actually have a sweater in each of these colors. :)

I tried designing this card with just the black and white leaves. I thought it would make the sweaters pop, but it looked too bland so I opted to color them instead of leaving them white.

Picture
I wasn't sure if I was going to color all the leaves, but I think it looks better and more finished with all of them in color.

I layered the DSP on a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock. This would look really good layered on any matching cardstock as well.

I then layered that piece on an Early Espresso card base. I almost placed it on a black base, but thought it would look too Halloween-ie.

I added a few 3D leaf embellishments to add another layer. I love how the bronze leaf looks.

I then added only two of the sweaters on the card front. I really like to have the focal point over on the bottom right.

Lastly, I added the cute sentiment, "Time for a Card-Again!" I love puns, they are so fun and sweet.
